A growing development advisory business is looking to appoint a Client-Side Project Manager to its Brisbane team.

This opportunity is specifically suited to an experienced Contract Administrator working for a principal contractor who enjoys construction and wants to stay close to project delivery, but has realised that working builder-side may not be where their long-term career lies.

Rather than requiring previous client-side experience, we're looking for someone with a strong commercial foundation who can bring their understanding of contracts, construction and project delivery into a broader client-side Project Management role.

The Opportunity

You'll work alongside experienced development and project professionals, representing clients across the planning, procurement and delivery of medium-high rise residential developments.

The role will provide exposure across the full project lifecycle and allow you to develop beyond traditional Contract Administration into broader project, consultant and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting projects from early planning through construction and handover
• Managing and coordinating consultants and key project stakeholders
• Representing the client throughout project delivery
• Managing project programmes, budgets, risk and reporting
• Reviewing contracts, variations, claims and commercial matters
• Working closely with principal contractors throughout construction
• Coordinating design, procurement and delivery requirements
• Providing clear reporting and advice to clients
• Maintaining strong relationships with developers, consultants and contractors

Who We're Looking For

We're specifically interested in candidates who have developed their career builder-side and now want to use that experience to transition into client-side Project Management.

Ideally, you will have:

• Bachelor of Construction Management or similar
• Approximately 5 years' experience progressing through Cadet and Contract Administrator positions
• Experience with a reputable Tier 2 Australian principal contractor
• Brisbane/SEQ construction experience highly regarded
• Exposure to medium-rise residential projects
• Strong understanding of both upstream and downstream contracts
• Good commercial and cost management capability
• Confidence dealing directly with clients, consultants and contractors
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach and genuine ambition to develop your career
