Client Transport Driver

Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides safe and reliable transportation for clients and performs related duties as required. Responsible for maintaining mileage and vehicle maintenance logs.

Duties

• Transport clients safely to various destinations.
• Maintain mileage and maintenance logs as required by the California Highway Patrol.
• Report safety concerns to the Program Manager or Assistant Program Manager.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, coworkers, and the public.
• Follow agency policies and Board of Directors regulations.
• Maintain an average score of 4.0 or higher on the MFI Driver Survey.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver’s License.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Maintain valid liability insurance and a good driving record.
• Adhere to company dress code and professional standards.

Knowledge & Skills

• Safe vehicle operation and California Motor Vehicle Code.
• Basic first aid, vehicle maintenance, and record keeping.
• Proper lifting and loading techniques.
• Map reading and navigation.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Abilities

• Drive safely in various road and weather conditions.
• Perform minor emergency repairs (e.g., tire change).
• Communicate effectively and maintain accurate records.
• Work independently while maintaining client confidentiality.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Insurable at standard automobile rates.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• FBI and DOJ fingerprint clearance.
• Negative tuberculosis test.
• Pass drug screening.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, operate a vehicle, use office equipment, communicate effectively, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
