Climbing Arborist

Sarginsons Tree Services Inc. is a growing, family-owned tree care company adding an additional crew. We’re hiring an experienced climber to lead that crew and help support our continued growth.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, makes sound decisions and can manage jobs safely and efficiently without constant supervision. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the additional crew and coordinate daily jobsite operations.
• Perform tree climbing, pruning, removals and controlled rigging.
• Assess hazards, plan work methods and provide clear direction to crew members.
• Keep jobs organized and progressing safely and efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with customers, crew members and management.
• Operate company trucks and equipment within your training and qualifications.
• Maintain equipment, protect customer properties and ensure thorough cleanup.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of professional tree climbing experience.
• Valid DZ driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
• Current Working at Heights training.
• Current WHMIS training.
• Strong climbing, rigging and chainsaw skills.
• Ability to lead a crew and carry out jobs independently.
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Motivation to grow with the company and take responsibility for your crew’s work.

Assets

• Utility Work Protection Code (UWPC) training.
• ISA Certified Arborist designation.
• Experience operating bucket trucks, high-capacity wood chippers and log trucks.

Our EquipmentWe’re hiring a capable climber, supported by a fleet that includes multiple bucket trucks, high-capacity wood chippers and log trucks to handle a wide range of tree work efficiently.
