Clinic Assistant

• Salary Range: Basic Up to $3300 + Year end bonus
• Eye Specialist industry
• Working Location: Central
• Working Days: 5.5 Days (Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm; Sat 8.30am - 1.00pm)

Your Role, Your Influence:

• Welcoming and greeting patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
• Managing patient registration and documentation, including updating medical records and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Assisting healthcare professionals with clinical procedures and patient examinations
• Taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all equipment and supplies are clean, organised and ready for use
• Sterilising and maintaining medical instruments in accordance with clinic protocols and healthcare standards
• Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic diary to optimise patient flow
• Handling telephone enquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members
• Processing patient payments and maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting the clinic team with general administrative tasks and clerical duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic clinic environment
• Assisting with patient education and providing information about clinic services

The Ingredients for Success:

• A qualification in healthcare, nursing, or a related field, or equivalent experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
• A commitment to patient confidentiality and understanding of healthcare data protection regulations
