We are currently hiring for Permanent Full-Time Clinical Assistant opportunities in Juneau, Alaska .

💰 Salary: $60,000 – $83,000 per year

🩺 Position Overview

The Clinical Assistant will support providers and patients in an ambulatory care setting while helping maintain efficient patient flow and clinic operations. The role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities and includes working with patients across all age groups.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs and patient medical histories
• Update medication and immunization records
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Perform Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) and specimen collection
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs as required
• Perform nebulizer treatments, ear lavage, simple dressing changes and other clinical procedures
• Assist with cast removal and diabetic foot screenings
• Apply oxygen and assist with patient mobility/transfers as ordered
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment
• Maintain infection-control and safety standards
• Provide basic patient education and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Support providers and clinical staff with patient flow and administrative tasks
• Assist with inventory, supplies, equipment checks and quality-assurance activities

✅ Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
• Clinical competency completion as required
• Experience with medical terminology, patient care and clinical procedures
• Ability to work with patients of different age groups
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills
• Ability to use EMR/EHR systems and clinical equipment

One of the available positions requires prior Urgent Care experience .

Candidates may qualify through:

• Completion of a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program
• 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience
• CNA, EMT or related healthcare experience
• Other qualifying healthcare training/experien
