What they need
Why Join Our Team?
At Seattle Spine & Sports Medicine, we believe great patient care starts with a great team. We hire people who are compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn, then invest in helping them build meaningful careers in healthcare. If you're looking for a workplace where you'll be supported, challenged, and given opportunities to grow alongside experienced physicians and a collaborative team, we'd love to meet you.
About Us
Seattle Spine & Sports Medicine is a growing, physician-owned specialty practice dedicated to helping patients recover from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and neurological conditions. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care while creating a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow professionally.
As our practice continues to expand, we're looking for a motivated Clinical Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in medicine who is eager to learn, contribute, and build a long-term career in healthcare.
Position Summary
As a Clinical Assistant, you'll work side-by-side with our physicians and providers to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced specialty practice. This is a hands-on role where you'll help prepare patients for their visits, assist with procedures, support clinical operations, and become an integral part of the care team.
We believe the best Clinical Assistants aren't defined by years of experience. They're defined by curiosity, compassion, reliability, and a genuine interest in medicine. If you're excited to learn, enjoy working directly with patients, and are looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a specialty medical practice, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll receive extensive hands-on training from our experienced clinical team, with opportunities to expand your skills and responsibilities as you grow within the practice.
This position will train primarily at our Seattle clinic, with the expectation that the employee will transition to our Lynnwood clinic as their primary, full-time work location once training is complete. Applicants should be comfortable commuting to Seattle during the training period and working full-time in Lynnwood thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for their appointments and assist providers throughout the clinic day
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms before and after patient visits
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures, injections, and regenerative medicine treatments
- Prepare platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and other procedural supplies
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment
- Assist with patient education and post-visit instructions
- Accurately document information within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinate with providers and front office staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Support daily clinic operations and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Genuine interest in healthcare and patient care
- Willing and able to obtain phlebotomy certification as a requirement of the position; certification costs will be fully covered by the practice
- Comfortable working with needles, blood draws, injections, and blood products as part of routine clinical and procedural support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, professional, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working directly with patients
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Reliable transportation between our Seattle and Lynnwood clinics when needed
Preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or other healthcare setting
- Coursework or education in biology, kinesiology, exercise science, nursing, pre-med, public health, or another healthcare-related field
- Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR)
Certification is not required. We're committed to training the right person who is excited to learn and grow within our practice.
Professional Growth
We're committed to investing in our employees because we want our team to grow with us.
After successfully completing your initial training and demonstrating proficiency in the role, you will complete phlebotomy certification as part of your continued training for this position. Seattle Spine & Sports Medicine will cover the full cost of certification. Once certified, you’ll expand your clinical responsibilities and receive a $1.00 per hour pay increase.
Phlebotomy certification is an expected component of this role, so applicants should be comfortable working with needles, blood draws, and blood products.
Whether you're beginning your career in healthcare or looking for a long-term opportunity within a growing specialty practice, we'll provide the training, mentorship, and support to help you continue developing professionally.
