Clinical Assistant - Internal Medicine

A small internal medicine practice in Elmhurst is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity, ideal for recent college graduates interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

In this role, you’ll actively contribute to both the clinical and administrative sides of a medical practice. This role involves hands-on participation in daily office operations, direct physician exposure, and patient care experience. You’ll gain a well-rounded understanding of how a healthcare office operates while building skills that directly prepare you for future clinical training.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Seating patients and taking vitals
• Performing in-house clinical procedures, including injections, immunizations, and point-of-care testing
• Telephone triage and patient outreach
• Insurance and billing coordination
• Reviewing and summarizing specialist consult notes
• Patient education and follow up support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, pre-med, health sciences, or related field
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous customer service experience preferred
