ABOUT THE ROLE

Outlook Gardens Aged Care located in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs is seeking a proactive, forward-thinking Clinical Care Manager to join our team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be able to provide clinical leadership and support to our home and to ensure guidance in the provision of advanced clinical and person-centred care of residents aligned with our contemporary practices.

The Clinical Care Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the direct care needs of residents are met through effective resources management, monitoring and managing clinical governance, promoting principles of best practice and assistance in driving continuous improvement activities, developing and implementing innovative processes to promote a systematic approach to care in the home.

The successful applicant will have:

• Bachelor of Nursing equivalent or higher
• APHRA Registration without any notation
• Minimum 3-4 years experience in Aged Care in Australia
• Provide clinical leadership and act as a positive role model and resource for all staff
• Responsible for management of and accountability for clinical care provisions
• A confident team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for leading clinical outcomes
• A team mentality, able to work within and develop teams
• A strong focus on improving quality of life of our residents
• Demonstrated ability to assist the Residential Services Director in mentoring and supervising staff
• Exposure to Gerontology, Dementia Care, Palliative Care and Wound Management or relevant discipline would be highly regarded but is not mandatory
• Focused on improving quality of life of our residents
• Sound understanding of ANACC
• Sound clinical decision-making skills
• Sound understanding of relevant legislation and experience in meeting Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety  Commission Standards
• Highly organised with proven ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use computer software in the delivery of care services
• Hold a current Victorian driver’s license
