Clinical Case Worker

Reconnect Family Services Te Ope Pirita works with a range of young people with high and complex needs, offering a number of programmes that provide care & protection and youth justice services.  We believe in reconnecting children and young people to make a positive contribution to whanau, community and society.

We are seeking a social worker/therapist to join our team. This is primarily a social work role, but the expectation is that a successful applicant will learn and develop Structural Family Therapy skills for application within the role. This is an important feature for Reconnect which strives to include family therapy in all the work undertaken by the agency’s programmes.

Predominantly the role will work within our Care & Therapy programme but will also support our other programmes as needed. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide social work services to clients and their families.
• Manage client intakes.
• Provide supervision to staff.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Oranga Tamariki for the programme.

The ideal appointee specifications include:

• Social work or other clinical qualification.
• Experience in Case Management
• Strong computer literacy.
• Strong organisational skill.
• A sound knowledge and appreciation around Reconnect's focus demographics
• Understanding of, and commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Full driver's licence

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a permanent NZ work visa, and be able to complete and return a clean NZ police and Oranga Tamariki check.
