Clinical Coder (Hospital/Office Hours) (ID: 709707)

Responsibilities:

• Complete DRG coding for all inpatient discharges and procedures related to Day Surgery, Dental, and Endoscopy within established deadlines.
• Achieve a turnaround time of 100% for case mix coding within 14 days with an error rate of less than 4%.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any coding-related queries and raise issues regarding incomplete or missing medical records.
• Provide accurate DRG codes and necessary clarifications as required by relevant authorities and insurance companies within stipulated timeframes.
• Conduct internal audits on coded cases to maintain coding accuracy and adherence to established standards and procedures.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:

• Recognized qualification in Medicine, Nursing or Healthcare (e.g., MBBS, Nursing Diploma or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical coding role within a hospital environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM standards.
