We are a growing team committed to fast turnaround, accuracy, and compliance, and we're looking for a skilled lab generalist to support our operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Lab Generalist with a Nevada General Lab Supervisor License (or easily to obtain) to support the growth of our Molecular, Hematology, and Chemistry business. The ideal candidate is a hands-on generalist with working knowledge across these disciplines, someone comfortable moving between specimen processing, testing, and routine lab support. A desire for or experience in toxicology is a plus.

This role reports to the Lab Director and works 15–25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support daily laboratory operations, including specimen accessioning, processing, testing, and result reporting
• Perform testing across disciplines — molecular diagnostics (PCR panels), hematology, and clinical chemistry / blood testing
• Assist with inbound specimen logistics and supply chain coordination as needed
• Follow and maintain laboratory SOPs, QC programs, and safety protocols in compliance with CLIA, COLA, OSHA, and applicable state regulations
• Monitor supply inventory, assist with reagent restocking, and flag procurement needs
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments; escalate troubleshooting as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate test turnaround in line with established TAT standards
• Prepare and submit operational reports and performance metrics to the Lab Director as requested
• Support proficiency testing programs and regulatory inspection readiness
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and the integrity of all patient and operational data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field - Nevada General Lab Supervisor License
• Minimum 1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Working knowledge of molecular diagnostics (PCR), hematology, and clinical chemistry / blood testing
• Understanding of CLIA regulations, laboratory quality management, and accreditation standards
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and standard laboratory software
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualification

• ASCP or NCA board certification (MT/CLS)
• Experience with Atilia Biosystem instrumentation or similar automated platforms
• Familiarity with Access 2 immunoassay analyzer (Beckman Coulter) or similar immunoassay systems
• Experience with Sysmex hematology analyzers or comparable hematology platforms
• Background or interest in toxicology testing, urine drug screening (immunoassay)
• Familiarity with chain-of-custody requirements for forensic and medico-legal drug testing
• Experience in high-volume, fast-turnaround clinical laboratory environments

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
