Clinical Laboratory Technician/ Technologist

Responsibilities

· Execute laboratory testing on specimens for UTI, STI, and RPP using Quantstudio 7 and MagTract extraction instrument

· This is a in-person role with Airline Medical Clinic located at 5514 Yale St Ste 101, Houston, TX 77091

· Receive, label, and accession samples in LIS

· Process the samples, submit them on instrument, perform the data analysis, and release the reports on LIS

· Organize and store all chemical substances according to safety instructions

· Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility

· Perform Equipment Startup and Maintenance

· Assist in inventory counts and ordering laboratory supplies

· Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times

· Maintain a clean and orderly environment

· Any additional tasks as requested

Requirements and Skills

· Associate or Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or relevant field

· Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems

· Ability to work autonomously

· 1-3 years of experience working on molecular testing is preferred

· Willingness to learn and grow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
