Clinical Optometry Assistant

Overview Accent Eyecare in Dallas is looking for a warm, reliable Clinical Optometry Assistant to become part of our patient-care team. In this hands-on role, you'll help our optometrists deliver outstanding eye care by keeping patient flow moving smoothly, preparing patients for their exams, and operating specialized ophthalmic diagnostic instruments. Your people skills and technical abilities will be key to efficient clinic operations and great patient experiences. What we're looking for - Prior experience in a medical office or optometry/optical clinic is strongly preferred. - Spanish-speaking ability is a major plus. - Practical, hands-on experience with ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment, such as tonometers and other ophthalmic instruments. - Comfort with EMR/EHR systems for accurate, efficient management of medical records. - Strong patient-service skills, with a focus on direct patient care — explaining procedures in clear terms and keeping patients comfortable throughout their exams. - Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality practices for protecting sensitive health information. - The ability to collaborate well with a team and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced clinical setting.
