SHIP Clinic is a Department of Health-accredited HIV primary care facility committed to making quality HIV care accessible, inclusive, and patient-centered. We provide comprehensive services, including HIV testing, consultations, telehealth support, and antiretroviral therapy (ART) delivery to patients across Metro Manila and beyond.

As part of our expansion, SHIP Clinic is establishing its own in-house laboratory to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Head of Laboratory, providing overall clinical, technical, and professional oversight of laboratory operations.
• Ensure that the laboratory operates in accordance with applicable DOH, PRC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the quality, accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of laboratory test results.
• Review and validate laboratory results, particularly complex, unusual, or clinically significant findings.
• Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret laboratory findings and provide appropriate clinical guidance.
• Provide technical and clinical direction to Medical Technologists and other laboratory personnel.
• Establish and maintain laboratory policies, procedures, and standards to support safe and efficient operations.
• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the laboratory's Quality Management System, including quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Monitor laboratory performance, quality indicators, and corrective actions, and implement improvements where needed.
• Oversee the selection, validation, and appropriate use of laboratory equipment, testing methods, reagents, and other technical resources.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized medical school.
• Must be a licensed physician in the Philippines.
• Board-certified in Clinical Pathology and qualified to serve as Head of Laboratory under applicable DOH requirements.
• Must meet the applicable DOH requirements for a Head of Laboratory based on the laboratory's classification and scope of services.
• Completion of rHIVda training is preferred.
• Previous experience managing or overseeing a clinical laboratory is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory medicine, diagnostic testing, quality management, and laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with DOH, PRC, and other applicable regulatory requirements for clinical laboratories.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
