Clinical Practitioner

About the role

Salisbury Street Foundation (SSF) is a residential reintegration service supporting men transitioning from prison back into the community. Our residential model means you can work alongside people over time – building trust, understanding the barriers to change and seeing the progress that follows.

As our Clinical Practitioner, you will take a leading social work role as residents progress through our programme towards greater independence. Your work will include psychosocial assessment and intervention, case management, whānau connection, health and addiction support, housing and transition planning. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team and external agencies to help residents build the foundations for sustainable lives in the community.

This is a senior role where your professional judgement matters. You'll have the autonomy to assess complex situations, make recommendations and contribute your social work perspective to important decisions. You'll also provide professional guidance within the team and may deputise for the Clinical Lead Manager when required.

About you

• Hold current professional registration and a practising certificate (where applicable) with a recognised New Zealand registration or professional body relevant to your discipline
• Have substantial post-qualification social work experience, including work with people with complex needs
• Be confident practising autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• Experience in justice, forensic services, mental health, addiction, residential services, reintegration or another complex social-service environment would be particularly valuable
