Clinical Support Professional

Overview

Beachside Rehab is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Clinical Support professional to join our clinical team. In this role, you will work closely with the Clinical Director, therapists, and other members of the treatment team to support clients receiving mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

The ideal candidate is organized, communicates effectively, and is passionate about helping individuals navigate their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments with newly admitted clients.
• Facilitate group sessions, including new client orientation.
• Initiate family calls to gather information regarding client support systems and treatment needs.
• Assist with the intake and admissions process as needed.
• Document client progress, regression, and interventions in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Conduct chart audits as assigned by the Clinical Director or other clinical leaders.
• Conduct daily client rounds to assess needs and provide support.
• Collaborate with therapists and other clinical team members to support client care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings and scheduled clinical staffing meetings.
• Communicate pertinent information obtained from families and other appropriate sources to the treatment team.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to psychiatric crises and assist with necessary interventions.
• Assist during medical emergencies as directed.
• Provide administrative support to the clinical and intake departments as needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable clinical regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or another health-related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a substance use disorder treatment and/or psychiatric setting.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of clinical care practices and applicable regulatory standards.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential client information.
