Clinician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in substance abuse / mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and those with developmental disabilities, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Clinician will utilize various therapeutic techniques to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Time Requirement:

This is a 10 - 15 hour per week position, this is not considered full time or part time. This position can perform counseling services 7 days a week in between the hours of 7am - 9pm.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Facilitate family counseling sessions and support parents in navigating challenges related to their children's mental health.
• Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and case management.
• Offer telehealth services as needed, adapting therapeutic approaches for virtual platforms.
• Stay informed about best practices in psychotherapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and other relevant areas.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Valid licensure as a clinician (LAAC, LAC, LMSW or equivalent)
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities including art therapy, psychodynamic therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management.
• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with clinical research methodologies is advantageous.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $41.26 - $49.69 per hour

Work Location: In person
