Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Closing Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities

• Accurately process all sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring correct cash handling and receipt issuance
• Close out registers at the end of each shift, balancing cash drawers and preparing reports with precision
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves during your shift to ensure an inviting store environment
• Handle customer questions professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with merchandising initiatives
• Supervise or assist junior team members during closing procedures, fostering teamwork and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership capabilities within a retail setting
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments if applicable
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash reconciliation and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and product demos
• Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
• Skills in upselling products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive customer experience

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
