Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure environments;
• Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, Apache, PHP and MySQL;
• Administer VMware virtual machines, backup systems and recovery procedures;
• Maintain network infrastructure, firewall, Wi-Fi and system security;
• Maintain and enhance Python-based and WordPress websites, including front-end modifications, troubleshooting and deployment;
• Manage website hosting, domains, DNS and SSL certificates;
• Perform system monitoring, security patching and resource optimisation;
• Handle infrastructure upgrades, system migration and cybersecurity incidents;
• Maintain technical documentation and coordinate with service providers; and
• Provide second-level IT support when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline;
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in cloud, server or infrastructure administration;
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware;
• Working knowledge of Linux, networking, firewall, backup and cybersecurity;
• Experience in maintaining Python-based or WordPress websites;
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL is an advantage;
• Able to troubleshoot system, network and website issues independently; and
• Relevant Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, Linux or networking certification is an advantage.

Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the position of Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer.

Terms of Appointment:   Starting salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
