Our client, an in-house technology consultancy of a global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Cloud & Platform Engineer to drive an ambitious engineering initiative combining enterprise platform operations and infrastructure-level AI/ML solutions. In this role, you will take direct technical ownership of Red Hat OpenShift platforms, advanced container networking, and the implementation of purpose-built small language models (SLMs) and graph analytics across large-scale, heterogeneous networks.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise Red Hat OpenShift platforms and production-grade Kubernetes environments.
• Managing and optimizing container networking stacks at scale, with deep focus on OVN-Kubernetes and CNI plugins.
• Applying advanced AI/ML algorithms focusing on Graph Theory and Path Analysis to model network behaviors and optimize traffic flows.
• Building and maintaining high-performance model inferencing pipelines using TensorFlow.
• Designing and adapting configuration abstractions across large-scale heterogeneous networks with multi-purpose devices.
• Training, profiling, and deploying purpose-built Small Language Models (SLMs) tailored to network monitoring and operational behavior analysis.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong commercial background in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise container orchestration.
• Significant practical expertise in data science, predictive modeling, and applied AI/ML in operational environments.
• Experience managing large-scale, heterogeneous network topologies and complex network telemetry.
• Consultant mindset: ability to communicate architectural rationales, guide cross-functional teams, and propose continuous engineering enhancements.
• E2E ownership mentality with a rigorous focus on automation, reliability, and security.

Must-Haves:

• Deep hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift platform engineering and administration.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and container networking ( OVN-Kubernetes / CNI ).
• Proven AI/ML domain expertise focusing on Graph Theory and Path Analysis.
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow and production-grade inferencing workflows.
• Practical expertise with LLM/SLM models tailored to network infrastructure, including behavioral training and profiling.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt configuration abstraction across complex multi-device networks.
• Excellent English communication skills for daily international collaboration.

Location & Working Setup:

• Hybrid Work Model 2 days in the office (Budapest, Hungary)
