Cloud Architect

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Cloud Architect. The Cloud Architect will design and oversee cloud-based solution architectures to support the association’s educational, consulting, and training initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include assessing technical requirements, planning and implementing infrastructure in the cloud, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable environments for digital platforms and services. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to integrate various applications and systems, optimizing performance, and maintaining documentation of architectures and standards. The Cloud Architect will also provide guidance on best practices, support software development teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of the association’s technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Solution Architecture and Architecture, with experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Infrastructure, including cloud networking, storage, security configurations, and system administration.
• Candidates should possess skills in Software Development, with the ability to collaborate with development teams and understand application lifecycle and deployment pipelines.
• Candidates should possess skills in Integration, including connecting cloud services, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services and tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and multicultural environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
