Cloud Architect

CodeValue is looking for a Cloud Architect to design, lead, and implement secure, scalable, and advanced cloud solutions. The role involves supporting systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from architecture and design through development, cloud migration, deployment, and ongoing optimization.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, define architectural standards and engineering methodologies, support development and infrastructure teams, and drive cloud modernization, cloud security, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architectures across public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation of applications, systems, and infrastructure.
• Define architectural standards, engineering methodologies, development tools, and best practices.
• Ensure secure, maintainable, and high-quality system design and implementation.
• Design and implement cloud security solutions, including identity and access management, network security, and cloud security controls.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.
• Design solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
• Prepare architectural documentation, technical specifications, and architecture diagrams.
• Define and support high availability, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), where relevant to the solution.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet the requirements of at least one of the following professional tracks:

Track 1: Cloud Architecture & Cloud Security

• 2–4 years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect in public cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: AWS, GCP, Google Workspace, or Microsoft 365.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments, including implementation, ongoing management, migration, and application or infrastructure modernization.
• Proven experience managing and operating cloud security tools.
• Experience designing cloud application architectures, including SaaS solutions and LLM-based solutions.

OR

Track 2: Cloud Architecture & Technical Leadership

• At least 4 years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect in public cloud environments.
• Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures and services.
• Experience designing enterprise information systems and leading cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
• Experience providing cross-organizational technical leadership, defining engineering standards and development methodologies, and guiding technical teams.

OR

Track 3: Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps & Network Security Architecture

• At least 4 years of experience in public cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS and/or GCP; knowledge of Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
• Experience documenting architectures, writing technical documentation, and creating architecture diagrams.
• Practical knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform, and CI/CD and GitOps processes.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in cloud adoption, modernization, migration, or hybrid cloud environments.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including installation, management, operation, and maintenance.
• Understanding of cloud security, network connectivity, hybrid environments, and integration between cloud and on-premises systems.

OR

Track 4: Enterprise Cloud Architecture, High Availability & Technical Governance

• Practical experience designing cloud architectures on AWS and/or GCP, with an emphasis on public-facing systems, high availability, and business continuity.
• Experience designing secure solutions that protect sensitive information and translate cybersecurity requirements into solution architecture and SDLC practices.
• Experience providing technical guidance to development teams, managing engagements with external software vendors, and overseeing architectural compliance and deliverables.
• Experience managing requirements and architecture in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Practical software development background and understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and microservices methodologies.
• Proven ability to act as a senior technical authority, resolve complex technical problems, and lead the resolution of critical technology incidents.
• Experience designing complex integration architectures, including APIs and event-driven systems.

Advantages

• Experience designing secure AI architectures, integrating LLMs, and implementing AI Guardrails.
• Familiarity with MLOps, AI environments, Agentic AI, AI Agents, Log Mining, and Log Analytics.
• Experience implementing cloud security solutions, including NGFW, WAF, Proxy, NAC, and VPN.
• Knowledge of networking and security protocols, including BGP, OSPF, IPsec, and TLS.
• Familiarity with identity and access management protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and SAML.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Server, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of high availability, monitoring, logging, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery principles.
• Relevant AWS or GCP certifications, particularly professional-level cloud architecture certifications.
• Familiarity with cloud-related standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with educational organizations or academic institutions is a significant advantage.
