Cloud Architect

Role Description The Cloud Architect will work in a part-time, remote capacity to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based architectures that support property investment, advisory services, and international project operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining cloud solution architectures, evaluating infrastructure needs, and aligning technical designs with business and investment strategies. The role involves collaborating with software development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, and overseeing integration between internal platforms and external services. The Cloud Architect will also document architectural decisions, recommend improvements to performance and reliability, and support stakeholders with technical guidance on cloud adoption and modernization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Solution Architecture and Architecture for cloud-based, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure design, including networking, security, scalability, and high availability.
• Experience with Software Development practices, frameworks, and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Integration, including APIs, data flows, and connecting third-party and internal systems.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
• Ability to translate business and investment requirements into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality, or financial services technology is an advantage.
