Cloud Architect/Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Cloud Architect/Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.

This role will shape enterprise cloud strategy and help define the architecture for scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions. You will work across network, security, application development, and operations teams to advance cloud adoption and support technology roadmapping. The position also includes designing infrastructure that enables Generative AI use cases while maintaining strong governance, performance, and continuity across the enterprise.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,300 – $237,350 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise technology vision by defining strategic blueprints for cloud technologies and Generative AI applications
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid cloud architectures using cloud-agnostic tools
• Architect and manage core cloud networking components like VPCs and transit gateways
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automating provisioning and configuration management
• Employ comprehensive cloud security measures, including encryption, threat monitoring, and misconfiguration alerts
• Optimize cloud cost and utilization through resource tagging and continuous cost analysis
• Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience; additional experience considered in lieu of a degree
• 12+ years of progressive experience in cloud architecture and engineering, including 4 years in a senior Cloud Architect role
• Strong experience designing and implementing hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) at enterprise scale
• Proven expertise with Generative AI infrastructure, including RAG pipelines and scalable vector databases
• Deep hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible
• Strong background in cloud networking components like VPCs, firewalls, private links, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute
• Demonstrated experience with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA
