Cloud Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements for in-house application development projects.
• Perform the full software development lifecycle, including system design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and production support.
• Design and develop cloud-native solutions, including Serverless APIs, Event-driven data pipelines and Containerized batch processing applications
• Design and implement relational database models, database objects, and data access layers.
• Prepare technical specifications, system documentation, unit test plans, and integration test plans.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployment, parallel run activities, and post-production stabilization.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including 3 years of hands-on cloud application development experience.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including serverless architectures and managed data services.
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience building enterprise-grade applications
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience in Data modelling, Apache Spark, RESTful API, ETL/ELT processes and Streaming data pipelines
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies
• Hands-on experience with MDM/Customer 360, entity resolution, data quality management, Kafka/CDC, infrastructure as code (IaC), and Apache Airflow will be a plus
