Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud platforms.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration solutions.
• Implement cloud-based data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Work with large datasets using distributed processing frameworks.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance.
• Optimize data pipeline performance, reliability, and cloud resource costs.
• Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and automated recovery.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Develop automated deployment processes using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and maintain technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or Amazon Kinesis.
• Understanding of data governance, access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Relevant cloud certifications are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience developing production-grade data pipelines.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform.
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
