Cloud Engineer

Role: Azure & DevOps Cloud Engineer

Work Model: Hybrid in Malta

Salary: €60,000-70,000 depending on experience

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys infrastructure engineering, automation, continuous improvement, and collaborating with developers to deliver software efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure the cloud platform is secure, scalable, highly available, and performs efficiently.
• Manage core Azure services, including App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Identity.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud infrastructure, performance, and reliability using Azure monitoring tools.
• Implement Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Key Vault, Managed Identities, and network security.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Azure networking and Azure services .
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production environments using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Knowledge of Azure security best practices , including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and secure networking.
