Cloud Engineer

Title: Senior / Lead Cloud & AI Engineer – Agentic AI Platform (m/w/d), German-speaking

About the company:

Our client is an established, mid-sized cloud and AI consultancy based in Munich. They are AWS and Azure specialists who design and deliver cloud-native platforms and production AI for enterprise clients, including in automotive, energy and IoT. Their view is that AI should be code running in production.

The opportunity:

They've just won a new enterprise project and need two engineers to build an agentic AI platform from the ground up:

• Lead Cloud & AI Engineer / Technical Architect (up to €100k base). You'll be the technical spearhead with the client: leading workshops and kick-offs, shaping the architecture and building trust with senior stakeholders, while staying hands-on.
• Senior Cloud & AI Engineer (around €85k base). You'll work alongside the lead and drive hands-on delivery of the platform.

What you'll do:

• Design and build agent-based architectures and agentic workflows
• Develop RAG systems and provide MCP servers that connect LLMs to enterprise systems
• Build cloud-native applications and APIs on AWS and Azure
• Implement CI/CD and MLOps pipelines
• Work directly with the client, including on-site workshops roughly every six months (travel expenses fully covered)

What you'll bring:

• Strong software engineering in Java/Kotlin and/or Python (Spring or Jakarta EE is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain or LangGraph) and ideally MCP
• Cloud-native skills: Docker/Podman, Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS and/or Azure, and CI/CD tools
• Confidence working with customers. For the lead role, you'll need a track record as the technical lead in front of clients.
• Fluent German (C1 or above) , because the project and the client are German-speaking
