Cloud Engineer

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-native solutions in Alibaba Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure
• Partner with functional leads and business leaders to ensure technical strategy aligns with company and departmental direction
• Define and establish architecture practices: standards, guidelines, patterns, and governance
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end architectures spanning application, data, and infrastructure
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements: performance, security, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and reusability
• Enable and implement DevOps practices, including:
• CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) o Infrastructure as code o Test automation
• Metrics, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness
• Provide technical leadership: guide project teams, mentor team members, and support distributed/offshore collaboration
• Work with vendor teams and support vendor management activities including scope and timeline management
• Support enterprise data direction by contributing to data platform roadmaps and enabling analytics/AI capabilities where appropriate
• Drive discussions with senior stakeholders on trade-offs, best practices, project risks, and mitigation Required Qualifications & Experience
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, technical architecture, and/or cloud solution architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, MIS (Management Information Systems), or equivalent experience
• Proven experience designing and delivering solutions on AWS and Azure, plus experience with Alibaba Cloud
• Experience with on-premise to cloud migrations and/or large-scale enterprise modernization
• Strong understanding of DevOps and experience implementing CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, and monitoring
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Technical Skills
• Cloud services and patterns for high availability and fault tolerance
• Containers and orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker; configuration/orchestration tools
• Data architecture and platforms:
• SQL and NoSQL DBaaS (Database as a Service) experience o Data platform and analytics components
• Programming/scripting: experience in at least one modern language such as Java, Scala, Python, or C#, plus automation scripting where applicable
