About the Opportunity

We’re seeking 3 experienced GCP Cloud Engineers with strong Data Engineering expertise to join a high-profile public sector data transformation programme. You’ll work on a large-scale cloud and data platform, helping to enhance existing services, improve data quality and support the migration of critical datasets and applications within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Role Overview

• Location: Fully remote (UK-based)
• Duration: Initial 6-month contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Level: Mid to senior

What You’ll Do

You’ll join an established team working on an existing GCP environment, contributing across both cloud engineering and data engineering. Your work will include:

• Migrating services, applications and datasets into the appropriate GCP environments
• Supporting data platform enhancement and optimisation initiatives
• Improving data quality through validation, automation and coding solutions
• Developing data export capabilities so data stays compatible with current and future platforms
• Enhancing and extending existing cloud services rather than building greenfield solutions
• Supporting future cloud and platform migration activities

Essential Skills and Experience

We’re particularly keen to speak with engineers who combine GCP cloud engineering and data engineering experience.

• Strong commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Extensive BigQuery experience (our highest priority)
• Data engineering, migration and integration expertise
• Cloud engineering and DevOps practices within GCP
• Experience designing, building and optimising cloud-native data solutions
