About the Role

We are looking for a versatile engineer to drive our in-house development projects from conception to deployment. In this role, you will design and build cloud-native applications, robust data pipelines, and scalable architectures that power our core business systems and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user requirement analysis, design for in-house development project.
• Undertake system development including programming, testing, implementation and related system maintenance, enhancements, and support tasks.
• Design and develop cloud-native application components— serverless APIs, event-driven data pipelines, and containerized batch jobs.
• Design and implement relational data models, database objects and data access logic.
• Prepare technical specifications, unit and integration test plans, and system documentation; participate in peer code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Support user acceptance testing, production cutover, parallel run and post-implementation stabilization.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in cloud development.
• Solid experience in cloud platform e.g. AWS, GCP — hands-on exposure to serverless and managed data services.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experienced in SQL / NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), with strong SQL writing and query performance tuning ability.
• Experienced in data modelling / Spark framework / API implementation (RESTful).
• Practical experience in data integration, ETL / ELT, or streaming data pipelines.
• Familiar with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience with MDM/Customer 360, entity resolution, data quality management, Kafka/CDC, infrastructure as code (IaC), and Apache Airflow will be an added advantage.
