Cloud Engineer Team Lead

For our client, we are seeking a Cloud Engineer Team Lead to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will guide a cloud engineering team responsible for day-to-day execution, technical direction, and operational stability in a fast-paced technology environment. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on cloud and DevOps expertise with people leadership, ensuring the team delivers reliable solutions while continuously improving how work gets done. This position partners closely with program leadership and stakeholders to align priorities, communicate needs, and support strong outcomes across multiple initiatives.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $142,792 – $189,750 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily team operations, prioritize tasks, and remove obstacles to execution
• Establish and refine technical strategy in collaboration with program leadership
• Communicate project timelines and resource needs clearly with stakeholders
• Drive continuous innovation and improvements in team execution
• Manage team recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development
• Coordinate incident oversight and communication during resolution

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT-related disciplines
• Hands-on expertise with AWS and/or Azure
• Proven people management experience
• Experience leading cloud engineering and DevOps initiatives
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ITIL practices
