Cloud FinOps Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud FinOps Specialist with strong expertise in the Cloudability tool to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud financial operations, ensuring cost efficiency, and driving financial accountability across cloud usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud costs using Cloudability
• Analyze cloud spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to implement cost management best practices.
• Develop and maintain cloud cost allocation models and reporting dashboards.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders to optimize cloud usage and budget adherence.
• Monitor cloud usage trends and forecast future costs to support budgeting and planning.
• Establish governance policies and controls to manage cloud financial risks.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions on cloud cost management and FinOps principles.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with Cloudability or similar cloud cost management tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and their pricing models.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost optimization in cloud environments.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of FinOps best practices and frameworks.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or FinOps are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience automating cost management processes using scripting or APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud governance and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
