Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (5 Days Work)

We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage the day-to-day operation of our Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and support our e-learning platforms and websites. You will work with developers and vendors to maintain reliable, secure services and support application deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Cloud Infrastructure: Provision, configure and maintain Alibaba Cloud resources, including ECS, VPC, load balancers, OSS and NAS; review resource utilisation and capacity requirements.

·         Docker and Deployment: Deploy and support Docker applications, including configuration, networking, storage and logs; coordinate release checks and rollbacks with developers and vendors.

·         Networking: Configure and troubleshoot cloud networking, including DNS, routing, VPN connectivity, security groups and firewall rules.

·         CDN Management: Manage CDN configuration, caching rules and cache purges; troubleshoot origin connectivity and content delivery issues.

·         System Security: Maintain Linux servers, apply security patches and hardening, manage access permissions, and follow up on vulnerability remediation.

·         WAF Management: Configure and maintain web application firewall rules; review security alerts and resolve false positives with application teams.

·         Web and Application Services: Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Apache and Nginx web servers, Tomcat application servers and PHP runtime environments.

·         Database Administration: Perform day-to-day MySQL administration, including user access management, routine maintenance, availability monitoring and troubleshooting.

·         SSL/TLS Certificate Management: Manage certificate requests, installation and renewal; monitor expiry dates and troubleshoot HTTPS certificate issues.

·         Backup and Recovery: Maintain scheduled backups of applications, databases and files; verify backup results and carry out regular restoration tests.

·         Monitoring and Incident Response: Maintain infrastructure and service monitoring and alerts; investigate incidents, restore services and follow up on root causes.

·         Technical Documentation: Maintain system configurations, deployment and recovery procedures, and records of infrastructure changes and incidents.

Requirements:

·         At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure operations, Linux system administration or a related role.

·         Hands-on experience managing Alibaba Cloud resources and deploying or supporting Docker containers in a production environment.

·         Solid knowledge of Linux administration and networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, firewalls and load balancing.

·         Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting CDN and WAF services.

·         Experience administering web servers, application servers or runtime environments such as Apache, Nginx, Tomcat and PHP.

·         Working knowledge of MySQL administration, SSL/TLS certificate management, backup and recovery, and monitoring tools.

·         Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse logs, manage priorities independently and communicate effectively with developers, vendors and colleagues.

·         Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
