Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will focus on designing, securing, and maintaining modern cloud and on-premises infrastructure that supports mission-critical environments. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to automate deployment and operations, improve resilience, and ensure systems align with DoD and Zero Trust standards. The position requires strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, container security, and infrastructure automation to help deliver reliable, scalable technology services.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters and Helm charts for applications and services
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish requirements and best practices
• Ensure security and resilience of environments aligned with DoD and Zero Trust principles
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in various environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container security
• Experience in automation scripting with Ansible, Python, and Bash
• Proficient in Git and Git-based workflows
• Background in Linux/SELinux system administration
