Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

TPG Technology Ltd. is an Ottawa-based IT Professional Services firm, which has been providing quality solutions in the National Capital Region since 1985 to both Government and Private Sector clients with highly specialized resources.

We have received a requirement to provide our federal government client with a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

M1. 5-10 years experience with the following:

• Assists in implementation of solutions based on Architectural best practices
• Provides guidance on basic aspects of cloud infrastructure offerings
• Assists with design and implementation of available, cost efficient, fault tolerant, and systems
• Assists with implementation Cloud Architecture solution, based on defined standards for CCOE – from an Application and Infrastructure perspective
• Assists with delivery of simple Cloud architecture patterns and implementations based on customer requirements
• Assist with implementation of Lift and shift of existing on-premises application to cloud and Ingress and egress data to and from cloud
• Assists with the analysis of the application portfolios and migration feasibility
• Assist with integration of cloud infrastructure/network environment with corporate infrastructure / data center environment
• Assist with design of reference Architecture for implementation of codified stacks that meet the needs of the applications
• Develops orchestration workflows, templates or scripts to deploy, configure or update cloud services and related components including OS, utilities, agents or other software used within the cloud infrastructure
• Develops integration workflows or scripts to exchange data with other management systems or applications
• Develops monitoring scripts or templates to gather metrics or look for patterns and events and to generate alarms
• Designs and develops features such as monitoring dashboards, custom metrics, log search pattern and alarms
• Develops event or incident remediation workflows or actions to resolve issues
• Automate routine operational tasks or other maintenance actions
• Development and maintenance of cloud service offering model documentation
• Educates team to implement based on best practices
• Provides hands-on technical support to accelerate Cloud learning among peers

M2. Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience five (5) years working with SAS Viya (Viya 4).

M3. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last eight (8) years performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution in distributed or enterprise systems**.**

M4. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with cloud-based environments (AWS), including integration, deployment, or operational support

RATED REQUIREMENT:

Must have more than 6 years to score max points.

R1: Experience implementing, configuring, administering, and supporting SAS Viya 4 platforms and environments.

R2. Experience performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution within SAS Viya and/or enterprise platforms.

R3. Experience working with cloud-based environments and enterprise integrations, including AWS, APIs, enterprise systems, or related cloud services.

R4. Experience applying SAS Viya capabilities to support business and technical solutions.
