What they need
About the Role
AlderPoint Technologies is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain the systems and infrastructure that business applications depend on. You'll work with cloud services, server environments, networking, and automation to keep infrastructure reliable, secure, and manageable.
The role involves both planned infrastructure work and troubleshooting when something goes wrong. You'll help investigate service issues, support deployments, review system configurations, and work with other technical teams to resolve problems.
We need someone who approaches technical changes carefully, documents their work, and communicates clearly when an issue affects system performance or delivery.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Configure, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure based on application and business requirements.
- Manage cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and access permissions.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and resource usage to identify potential problems.
- Troubleshoot server, connectivity, configuration, and deployment issues.
- Support application releases and coordinate infrastructure changes with development and IT teams.
- Review cloud configurations and access controls to identify security concerns.
- Use scripting and automation to reduce repetitive infrastructure tasks.
- Assist with backup procedures, recovery planning, and routine maintenance.
- Investigate service interruptions and document the steps taken to resolve them.
- Review resource consumption and identify opportunities to manage cloud costs.
- Maintain infrastructure diagrams, configuration records, and technical procedures.
- Follow change-management processes and communicate risks before modifying production systems.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for someone with a practical understanding of cloud infrastructure and a methodical approach to technical problem-solving.
You should have:
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, virtual machines, storage, and infrastructure networking.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows server environments.
- An understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with system monitoring, access management, and infrastructure security.
- The ability to investigate technical issues and explain findings clearly.
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail.
- The ability to work with developers, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Sound judgement when making changes that could affect live services.
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, or CI/CD tools is useful. Relevant cloud certifications are also an advantage.
What to Expect in the Role
You'll be expected to keep infrastructure records current, report problems promptly, and check changes before they affect live systems. When an issue cannot be resolved immediately, you should explain its impact, document what has been investigated, and communicate the next steps.
You'll also help identify recurring technical problems and recommend practical improvements to infrastructure reliability, security, and maintenance.
Working Schedule
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

How to Apply
Apply through Indeed with your current Resume. Include your cloud infrastructure experience, the platforms and tools you have used, and any relevant certifications.
You may also describe an infrastructure project or technical problem you worked on, explaining your contribution and the outcome.
