Location: Reston, VA(Onsite)

Type – Contract

The main focus is Google Cloud Platform (GCP), infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, cloud security, and active Top Secret clearance.

Role overview

The engineer will guide public-sector customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This covers secure foundational cloud setups, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architecture, and migrating, building, modernizing and maintaining applications on GCP.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure and solve complex cloud platform challenges

• Design and implement cloud technical architectures, migration approaches and application optimizations with customers

• Act as a technical advisor and troubleshoot customer issues

• Create best-practice recommendations, tutorials, technical articles and sample code

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience; fluent English

• 3+ years automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, or CI/CD

• Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion

• Coding in at least one general-purpose language (Python, Java, Go, C/C++), including data structures, algorithms and software design

• US Citizenship (required)

Preferred qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance ( Mandatory)

• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or other container orchestration

• IT security practices: IAM, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management

• Experience building prototypes or applications

• Familiarity with DoD IL5/IL6 security standards
