Cloud Infrastructure Management

Job Summary:

The Cloud Infrastructure Management position is responsible for managing, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the organization's cloud infrastructure to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems and services. The role involves administering cloud resources, implementing infrastructure solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the organization's IT operations in accordance with established policies and industry best practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• Deploy, configure, and scale cloud resources according to organizational needs.
• Implement security controls, access management, and data protection measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues and service disruptions.
• Perform system updates, patching, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and operational costs.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure operations and improvements.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Preferably with associate-level cloud platform certifications or Professional-level cloud architect certification from recognized certifying bodies across the team.

Work Experience:

• At least 3 years experience in cloud environment management and infrastructure design.

Job Competencies:

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in server administration, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Understanding of cloud security, access management, and data protection.
• Ability to monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Familiarity with scripting, automation, and infrastructure management tools.
• Ability to optimize cloud resource utilization and operational costs.
• Knowledge of system documentation, configuration management, and IT best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills.
