Centuria is seeking a Cloud Integration Engineer to join our team in Norman, OK, supporting the National Weather Service (NWS) Radar Operations Center (ROC). Supporting the Engineering Branch, you will serve as a technical lead responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining the ROC's interface systems and data pipelines that connect to NWS enterprise cloud platforms, including HIVE and CIRRUS.

This position is a dedicated engineering role focused on the ROC’s implementation for cloud adoption, which includes building reliable integration endpoints, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring real-time NEXRAD data transitions seamlessly from ground systems to NWS enterprise cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain ROC-side integration components, client endpoints, and data delivery services that feed radar data into NWS enterprise cloud systems including HIVE and CIRRUS.
  • Build and maintain automated deployment scripts, configuration templates, and pipeline workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Configure and validate ROC cloud connection points, access controls, and boundary interfaces.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize data ingestion and delivery throughput from ROC processing nodes to NWS enterprise cloud ingress points.
  • Draft interface control documentation, system configuration guides, and integration test plans to support engineering reviews and cloud migration milestones.
  • Provide engineering support to troubleshoot API failures, data pipeline disruptions, or connection issues between ROC ground hardware and NWS cloud infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of dedicated experience deploying and integrating systems within AWS or similar enterprise cloud environments.
  • Experience integrating high-throughput data streaming protocols or messaging tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Polaris, or MQTT.
  • Hands-on proficiency using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation for automated system deployment.
  • Practical understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, including API gateways, VPC peering, IPsec VPNs, DNS, and secure endpoint management.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system administration with scripting fluency in Python or Bash for automation and pipeline diagnostics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to author interface control documents, technical integration procedures, and system diagrams.
  • Exposure to containerized application deployments using Docker or managed Kubernetes environments (AWS ECS/EKS).
  • Working knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and government engineering change management processes.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
