Cloud Operations Engineer – Kubernetes / Private Cloud

Location: Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur

Work Schedule: 24X7 Duty Rotation
Night Shift: 1–2 night shifts per month + night shift allowance

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to provide after-sales operations and maintenance support for private cloud environments.

You will be responsible for maintaining customer environments, troubleshooting production issues, handling incidents, performing upgrades and resource expansions, and working with technical teams to ensure service stability.

This role is suited to engineers with strong Kubernetes, Linux, cloud infrastructure, networking, and troubleshooting experience who are comfortable supporting enterprise production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide after-sales operations and maintenance support for private cloud products and customer environments.
• Perform service inspections, incident troubleshooting, emergency fault handling, resource expansion, and version upgrades.
• Monitor customer environments, identify stability risks, and drive issue resolution and service improvements.
• Identify critical customer incidents and coordinate with backend engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain and improve operational procedures, troubleshooting knowledge, and technical service standards.
• Support continuous improvement of private cloud products and operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in cloud computing delivery, cloud operations, or infrastructure operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and container technologies, with multiple project implementations.
• Proficient in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS EC2, ELB, Azure VM, or VNet.
• Strong understanding of Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, VPC, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Kubernetes and infrastructure troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell for automation.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to support Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and incident-management skills.
• Strong understanding of production change management and data security practices.
• Willing to participate in a 24X7 duty rotation, including approximately 1–2 night shifts per month.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Cloud Operations-related certifications.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent Azure certification.
• Experience supporting private cloud, enterprise cloud, or production Kubernetes environments.
