Cloud Security Engineer

Our client with a strong international presence, is currently seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in Barcelona.

The key responsibilities as an Cloud Security Engineer will include:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud configurations aligned with Zero Trust principles and industry benchmarks.
• Automate security enforcement using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and policy-as-code tools.
• Manage cloud identity and access security, privileged access, and entitlement reviews (IAM / Entra ID).
• Operate and optimize cloud security tools (CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP) and native services (AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel).
• Conduct vulnerability management across workloads and containers: scanning, prioritization, remediation, and reporting.
• Implement secure network patterns (segmentation, WAFs, firewalls, VPNs) and manage encryption/key lifecycle.
• Collaborate with SOC teams on detection engineering, monitoring, and incident response for cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and advise engineering teams on secure practices.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years in information security, with 2-3 years securing public cloud (Azure/AWS; GCP is a plus).
• Expertise in cloud security services (IAM, KMS, VPC/VNet, CloudTrail, Defender for Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking (subnets, routing, firewalls, WAF) and CSPM/CNAPP tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Professional English (B2+/C1) and fluent Spanish.
• Nice to have:
• Relevant certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Microsoft SC-100/AZ-500, CISSP).
• Experience with container/Kubernetes security (AKS/EKS/GKE) and SIEM/EDR tools (Sentinel, Splunk).
