Cloud Security Engineer

A global financial services organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen its cloud security capabilities and secure modern enterprise infrastructure.

The role has a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure infrastructure and workload security, identity and access management, data protection, and secure cloud configurations. The engineer will help integrate security into infrastructure delivery, review cloud architecture, and support the responsible adoption of AI-enabled technologies.

This opportunity is designed for someone who enjoys remaining technically hands-on while collaborating across engineering, infrastructure, operations, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and improve security controls across Microsoft Azure infrastructure and workloads.
• Review cloud services, configurations, and architecture for potential security exposures.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, access management, encryption, and data protection practices.
• Work with infrastructure and DevOps teams to incorporate security into deployment processes.
• Support cloud security posture reviews and remediation initiatives.
• Assess security considerations for enterprise AI applications and integrations.
• Develop secure architecture recommendations and cloud security standards.
• Assist with cloud security monitoring, investigations, and remediation.

Role Requirements

• Approximately 4–7 years of relevant information security experience.
• Strong hands-on Azure cloud security and infrastructure expertise.
• Knowledge of workload protection, cloud configurations, and secure architecture.
• Experience with identity management, authentication, and access control.
• Understanding of encryption, secrets management, and data protection.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, DevOps, or DevSecOps.
• Ability to identify and implement practical security improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Midtown Manhattan at least three days weekly.

Nice to Have

• AI/LLM security or secure enterprise AI adoption experience.
• Exposure to cloud security posture management platforms.
• Experience securing AWS, GCP, or hybrid infrastructure.
• Knowledge of enterprise SaaS security and API integrations.
• Financial services or other regulated-industry experience.
