Cloud Security Engineer | upto $3000

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design end-to-end monitoring/observability architecture (logs, metrics, traces) for applications and infrastructure
• Implement, configure, and operate of monitoring platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Elastic, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent)
• Build integration solutions between monitoring platforms and other systems: CI/CD, ticketing, alerting, and chatops tools
• Develop scripts/tools to automate data collection, processing, and normalization of logs/metrics from various sources
• Design dashboards, configure alerting rules, and build reports to support operations and decision-making
• Evaluate, propose, and advise on monitoring solutions that meet both technical and business requirements
• Troubleshoot application performance and availability issues using monitoring data
• Provide technical leadership, review designs/configurations, and mentor team members
• Work directly with clients, partners, and international technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Prepare technical documentation: solution design, architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOP

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

• Minimum 04 years of experience in Monitoring / Observability / DevOps / SysOps
• Prior experience in a Tech Lead, Solution Architect, or Senior Engineer role on similar projects
• Good communication skills in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) – able to work directly with international clients/partners

Technical & Professional Skills

Application Monitoring & Observability:

• Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following monitoring platforms: Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Elastic Stack, Prometheus/Grafana, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Operations
• Understanding of and practical experience with data onboarding: logs, metrics, and traces from multiple sources (OS, applications, network, containers)
• Experience building dashboards, alerting, and operational reports
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot performance issues using monitoring data (APM)

Integration & Automation:

• Experience integrating monitoring tools with CI/CD pipelines, ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow), and chatops platforms (Slack, Teams)
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and message queues for data collection/delivery
• Ability to write automation scripts using Python, Go, or Shell
• Understanding of observability standards: OpenTelemetry, log formats (JSON, syslog, CEF, etc.)

Architecture & Technical Foundation:

• Experience designing monitoring architecture for large-scale (enterprise) systems
• Knowledge of Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficient in basic Linux/Unix administration
• Experience using Git for configuration version control

Soft Skills

• Ability to work in a team, lead, and mentor other members
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies

Certification / Nice-to-have

Splunk (a strong plus):

• Experience deploying and operating Splunk Enterprise/Cloud: Indexer, Search Head, Forwarder, Deployment Server
• Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language), from basic to advanced
• Experience developing Splunk Apps/Add-ons (Technology Add-on), Modular Inputs using Python
• Experience with Splunk ITSI (Service, KPI, Glass Table) or Splunk O11y (APM, Infrastructure Monitoring)

Certifications

• Splunk certifications.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
• CKA, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with Splunk ITSI, Splunk O11y, CI/CD tools, AIOps, anomaly detection, and monitoring platform migrations.
