Cloud Service Project Delivery Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.  Cloud project early involvement and engagement, work with sales personnel to provide services, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities.

2.  Involve delivery solution design, solution clarification, and contract negotiation during the pre-sales process, organize and review how to deal with project risks from the perspective of delivery results and business objectives.

3.  Take charge of Public Cloud and HCS projects delivery, including new regions, AZs, and resource expansion, customer application and data migration to Huawei Cloud, develop the overall project plan and phase-by-phase plan, identify project risks, and ensure timely project delivery.

4.  Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

5.  Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, develop and deliver timely progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.

6.  Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans and manage cost escalation.

7.  Follow company’s project management process and always maintain company’s business compliance.

8.  Ensure that project cost/revenues are tracked properly and follow the revenue recognition process.

Requirements:

1.  Bachelor’s degree or above in telecommunication or science.

2.  Minimum 5 years' project management experience in the ICT industry/cloud infrastructure domain/ telecommunication industry, and be familiar with the project scope, progress, quality, communication, and management.

3.  With over five years of project management experience, proven experience in implementing best practice project management methodologies and processes. Familiarity with the cloud service development process is preferred.

4.  HCIA/HCIP/HCIE/PMP certificates or equivalent certificates in the industry are preferred.

5.  Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

6.  Proven ability to manage, supervise and provide leadership to teams including sub-contractors, and experience with performance management processes.

7.  Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership in the development and implementation of strategies to successfully deal with contemporary project issues.

8.  Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Able to bear great project pressure.

9.  Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Good cross-department, cross-team, cross-project, and cross-level communication capabilities.

10.  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial, including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines.
