Cloud Software Developer (Node.js and React.js required) - State of Louisiana

For our client, we are seeking a Cloud Software Developer (Node.js and React.js required) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on designing and maintaining cloud-native applications that support public-sector operations in a remote environment.

You will work across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers, partnering with DevOps, UI/UX, and compliance stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable solutions.

The position also involves building automation, troubleshooting platform issues, and helping improve deployment and operational workflows.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $128,039 – $173,229 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Node.js and React.js
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK
• Build and deploy pipelines for platform operations
• Troubleshoot Linux-based issues and conduct root-cause analysis
• Implement secure patterns and support compliance-related tasks
• Collaborate with teams utilizing AWS services
• Work with UI/UX designers and DevOps teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AWS cloud computing experience required
• 7+ years of total IT experience preferred
• Hands-on proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with React.js front-end applications
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals
• Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CDK
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins
