Cloud Solution Architect – Azure Local (Hybrid Infrastructure)

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect with strong expertise in Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) to support enterprise and regulated customers in designing and delivering hybrid cloud solutions.

This is a customer-facing role responsible for:

• Driving Azure Local and hybrid cloud architecture
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor
• Delivering secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions

While Azure Local is the primary focus, the role requires flexibility to support broader Azure infrastructure and hybrid scenarios, ensuring effective utilization across multiple customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Local & Hybrid Architecture:

• Design and implement Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI solutions
• Architect hybrid environments integrating:
  • Azure Arc
  • Virtual Machines and Kubernetes
  • Networking and storage
• Enable cloud-consistent operations across on-premises and Azure

Customer Delivery & Execution:

• Lead end-to-end delivery, including:
  • Azure Local deployment and configuration
  • Hybrid/cloud migration and modernization
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues
• Deliver high-quality, repeatable technical engagements

Trusted Advisor & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers
• Build strong relationships from technical teams to executive stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture

Operations, Resilience & Optimization

• Support customers in:
  • Monitoring and operational stability
  • Performance optimization
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity
• Improve overall operational maturity and reliability

Security & Governance

• Guide customers on:
  • Identity (Microsoft Entra ID + Active Directory)
  • Access control, governance, and compliance
• Contribute to secure-by-design hybrid architectures

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Collaborate with:
  • CSAMs, partners, and engineering teams
• Contribute to reusable assets, IP, and best practices

Required Technical Skills:

Core (Must-have)

• Deep expertise in Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI
• Strong Azure infrastructure knowledge:
  • Compute (VMs)
  • Networking
  • Storage
• Experience with:
  • Azure Arc
  • Hybrid and multi-cloud architectures

Hybrid / On-Prem (Critical Requirement)

• Strong understanding of:

  • Windows Server administration
  • Active Directory (AD DS)
  • Microsoft Entra ID and Entra Connect

• Virtualization:

  • Hyper‑V
  • Clustering and high availability

• Infrastructure fundamentals:

  • Storage (S2D, SAN concepts)
  • Networking (segmentation, connectivity)

• The candidate must be able to operate confidently across both cloud and on-prem environments

Security (Expected)

• Identity and access management fundamentals
• Certificate usage (PKI awareness; deep expertise not required)
• Infrastructure hardening and compliance fundamentals

Additional Skills (Strongly Preferred)

• Disaster recovery and backup solutions
• Proven experience working in environments with very high security requirements
• Strong awareness of classified, regulated, or sovereign IT environments
• Experience operating in complex enterprise IT landscapes
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and strong adherence to confidentiality expectations
• Ability to work effectively in:
  • Fast-moving, changing organizations
  • Defense, government, or public sector environments
• Personal suitability and trustworthiness are critical, with strong emphasis on reliability and accountability

Language & Location Requirements:

• Fluent Finnish (spoken and written) – mandatory
• Fluent English (spoken and written) – mandatory
• Ability to work onsite as required.
• Flexibility to travel as needed
• Additional Nordic languages are considered a plus
