SwiftCore Systems is looking for a Cloud Solution Architect in Charlotte, NC to evaluate technical requirements, design scalable architectures and guide successful cloud implementations.

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you’ll combine infrastructure engineering, cloud strategy, systems integration and technical leadership. You’ll work with engineering teams, IT leaders and business stakeholders to design secure, highly available cloud systems, lead migration initiatives and ensure modern platforms operate with peak efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable and secure cloud architectures across enterprise environments
• Assess existing on-premises IT infrastructure and develop comprehensive cloud migration strategies
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams and leadership to align technical solutions with business goals
• Establish architectural standards, cloud governance policies and best-practice deployment blueprints
• Evaluate, select and integrate cloud services and third-party tools across hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, resource utilization and high availability
• Implement robust identity and access management (IAM), encryption and network security controls across cloud workloads
• Lead technical reviews, architecture assessments and proof-of-concept evaluations for emerging technologies
• Guide automated deployment strategies using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor system performance, identify architectural bottlenecks and plan for capacity growth
• Support disaster recovery, automated failover planning and business continuity architecture
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, architectural diagrams and system implementation roadmaps
• Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native patterns, microservices and modern development practices
• Stay current with emerging cloud platforms, container orchestration tools and industry architecture trends

Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, DevOps or enterprise IT infrastructure
• Deep expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
• Proven track record of designing and executing enterprise-scale cloud migrations and modernizations
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, routing, firewalls and load balancers
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, serverless computing and distributed systems design
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and architectural troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical designs clearly to diverse teams
• Industry cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred
• Comfortable managing multiple technology initiatives and making informed architectural trade-offs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field is preferred
