Your Task

This role involves performing, coordinating, and improving complex activities in a 3rd level IT environment to provide IT services and supporting infrastructure. The position focuses on planning, implementing, and maintaining a stable technical infrastructure to support the organization's business processes, while identifying and eliminating weaknesses in processes following industry and internal standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a SUSE-based virtualization platform using KVM as the hypervisor
• Define standard VM blueprints (CPU, RAM, storage, network) for SAP and non-SAP workloads
• Deploy and configure a LINSTOR storage cluster to provide scalable, redundant block and/or object storage
• Integrate LINSTOR with the KVM platform for guest disk volumes and SAP storage needs
• Establish capacity planning, data protection, and failure handling guidelines for the software defined storage layer
• Implement Software-Defined Networking (SDN, OpenNebular) for flexible tenant isolation, micro-segmentation, and multi-tenant support
• Define security zones, firewall rules, and routing patterns aligned with SAP and enterprise requirements
• Develop high level and low level documents for the respective areas (Compute, Storage, Network, Container, Orchestration)
• Integrate new platform components into the existing integration points and standard technologies (such as AdminLan, etc.)
• Standardize on Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (infrastructure provisioning) and Ansible (configuration management)
• Build reusable modules/roles to automate host provisioning and configuration
• Enable request, change, and incident workflows that trigger automation (Terraform/Ansible) and update CMDB where needed
• Maintain a living architecture document covering all layers: compute, storage, network, automation, observability, and integrations
• Produce operational documentation including installation guides, runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and "how-to" guides for consumers (e.g., SAP teams)
• Provide lightweight project and stakeholder management to prioritize features, manage risks, and align with business and SAP roadmaps

Your Profile

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Linux administration, virtualization, Kubernetes, and data center operations, along with excellent organizational and communication skills to manage complex infrastructure environments.

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Salary:

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than €1,270 gross.
