Cloud/DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud/DevOps Engineer to design, implement, automate, and operate secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments and DevOps platforms. The role will focus on cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, automation, and operational reliability. The ideal candidate will work closely with Development, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Security teams to accelerate software delivery while maintaining strong standards for availability, security, performance, and operational governance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Management:

· Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure and/or Google Cloud environments.

· Provision and maintain compute, storage, networking, IAM, and other cloud platform services.

· Lead cloud migration, modernization, scalability, and cost-optimization initiatives.

· Implement secure and highly available cloud architecture aligned with business and application requirements.

2. Infrastructure as Code & Automation:

· Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools

· Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, and operational tasks

· Develop reusable automation modules, scripts, templates, and runbooks

· Promote an automation-first approach to reduce manual effort, configuration drift, and operational errors

3. CI/CD & Release Engineering:

· Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, security scanning, and deployment

· Manage deployment workflows across development, testing, staging, and production environments

· Implement deployment strategies such as rolling, blue/green, or canary releases where appropriate

· Integrate source control, automated testing, artifact management, and release controls into delivery pipelines

4. Containerization & Modern Platforms:

· Build, deploy, and manage Docker-based application environments

· Deploy and administer Kubernetes clusters and supporting services

· Implement container orchestration, scaling, configuration, secrets, and service connectivity

· Support application teams in adopting cloud-native and container-based deployment practices

5. Monitoring, Logging & Observability:

· Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent tools

· Proactively monitor availability, performance, capacity, and resource utilization

· Develop dashboards, alerts, and operational metrics to support proactive incident management

· Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, problem management, and root cause analysis

6. Security, Resilience & Governance:

· Apply cloud security best practices including IAM, least privilege, MFA, secrets management, network segmentation, and secure configuration

· Integrate security controls and automated checks into CI/CD pipelines

· Implement and test backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and recovery procedures for cloud workloads

· Support compliance with applicable security and operational standards, policies, and controls

7. Collaboration & Documentation:

· Work closely with Development, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Security teams

· Support application teams with deployment architecture, environment configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

· Maintain clear architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, automation scripts, deployment procedures, and runbooks

· Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes, standards, and operational practices

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, systems administration, software deployment, or related infrastructure roles.

· Hands-on experience managing production cloud environments and implementing CI/CD and automation practices.

· Hands-on experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and cloud-native services.

· Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC technologies.

· Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.

· Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

· Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.

· Experience with Git and platforms such as Azure Repos, GitHub, or GitLab.

· Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or equivalent tools.

· Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments.

· Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud networking concepts.

· Understanding of IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, secure configuration, and DevSecOps principles.

· Ability to monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and expenditure.

· Familiarity with infrastructure and network monitoring tools and IT service management (ITSM) platforms.

Preferred Certifications:

· Cloud: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Google Cloud Engineer, or equivalent.

· DevOps: Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or equivalent.

· Infrastructure: Relevant Linux, networking, or cloud infrastructure certification.

Preferred Skills:
